Megan A. McCoy serves as Division 1 Judge for the Mohave County Superior Court.
Judge McCoy was initially appointed as a Court Commissioner / Judge Pro Tempore by then Presiding Judge Charles Gurtler and sworn in on August 9, 2019. She was appointed by Governor Doug Ducey on August 29, 2021, to step into the Division I judicial position after Judge Gurtler’s retirement in summer of 2021.
Judge McCoy currently handles a caseload primarily consisting of family court and juvenile court matters. These include dissolutions, separations, child custody cases, dependencies, adoptions, and delinquencies.
Prior to her 2019 judicial appointment, Judge McCoy served Mohave as a prosecutor in the Mohave County Attorney’s Office for 13 years.
Judge McCoy is a graduate of Kingman High School (’00), University of California San Diego (’03), and Georgetown University Law Center (’06).
